Professional Development International (PDI)was the UK winner of the prestigious National Training Ward in 2009 and was shortlisted for the Born to be Global award 2011. We have provided education and training nationally and internationally for over eleven years.As a practice nurse for many years, Mary White who owns PDI, understands very well the needs of practice nurses. PDI runs and excellent foundation cervical sample takers (smear) course and regular updates 'smear' updates in Devon and Cornwall but these can be provided naywhere. PDI is the sole provider of cervical sample taker courses commissioned by the PCTs in the south west peninsula. Our highly regarded sample takers course can be APEL'd to degree level through Plymouth University. We also run updates every year in the south west on immunisations, sexual health, spirometry, travel health,sexual health. In Portsmouth and Bournemouth we also run HCA immunisation courses, both basic and updates and also for RGNs as well as travel health updates. We provide training of trainers courses and leadership and management courses nationally and internationally. Training for cervical sample taker mentors / assessors can be provided anywhere in the country
